Description

EFB w/c JAMAICA WATERMELON AND SUGAR PINE, framed. Watercolor painting on paper depicts a sliced watermelon and pineapple on gray metal tray. The fruits lean against a wicker basket with scarf draped over it. Signature in pencil in lower object right corner - Evelyn Bartlett. Carl Weinhardt collected almost all of EFB's paintings from White Hall and brought them to Bonnet House while he was Director, After his death Jack and Mary Wilcox hung them in the Gallery and afterward EFB adjusted them to suit her esthetic sense #4, John Herron Art Museum, 1934
