While on her 1931 honeymoon, Evelyn Fortune Bartlett posed for a painting on the balcony of the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo. Frederic Clay Bartlett also painted a similar view of himself looking from the balcony of the Ritz Hotel in Paris around the same time.
