Evelyn Fortune Bartlett holding her pet cockatoo, White Bird, with tropical foliage is in the background at Bonnet House. Mrs. Bartlett wears a wide brimmed hat which is tied around her chin. She also wears a tan skirt, yellow blouse and gray short jacket. Her face is in profile. Oil painting on fiberboard. Artist: F.C. Bartlett, Title: White Bird. Ca. Late 1930s, early 1940s. Collected at artist's studio in Beverly, Mass. Stickers on back from Railway express, "fragile" and National Museum of American Art.
