Description

Harlequin or clown in the center ring. In 1929 Frederic Clay Bartlett exhibited this painting at the Boston Society of Independent Artists. Frederic may have been inspired by Paul Cezanne's four depictions of harlequin. They all wear the same traditional diamond patterned costume.
