Oil painting on canvas depicts a country fair. At object left is a red and white striped awning with black post at corner. There is a tan bar inside. Beside it on object right side sits a woman in purple long dress and hat and a man in gray suit. They, and all people in the picture, have pink faces, hands. They sit on black stools. At corner stands a a boy with orange shirt, blue trouser. On back side of bar is a person with blue dress; child with white dress. In foreground to the object right of the tent is the front end of an automobile with white body, brown interior with black steering wheel, windshield frame. At center is a man filling balloons with helium from a tank. He wears a blue shirt, brown trousers, tan shoes, black hat and faces object right. In front of him is a conical black canister. Above him are balloons in orange, white, purple, red, pink, yellow, blue, and green. To his object left are people in background. These people stand in front of a brown building with gray plank roof. At object left background are three airplanes in the sky - yellow, red, white. Background is green grass with evergreens at back. Blue sky with clouds above. On wooden stretcher. Varnished. In gray (formally gilt) wooden and plaster frame (original frame?) Frame has deep recess around painting, outward-extended edges with floral cartouches at corners. Back of frame has wooden ledge at top and bottom to hold picture in place.
