Oil painting on canvas of two horses, an armless, legless torso, and a black man. There are bricks in background. This mural is done in a very similar style of the famous Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico. The Bartlett's had a painting by him hanging in their Beverly Massachusetts mansion, White Hall. That painting, The Eventuality of Destiny, was painted by the artist in 1927. Mrs. Bartlett donated that painting to the Art Institute of Chicago. Frederic also painted murals in his Astor street apartment in Chicago as an homage to the artist who was the founder of the metaphysical art movement. One of the murals is enscribed "Salle Georgio de Chirico."
