Mural of wreath surrounding an "N", two angels flank the wreath and hold a garland which drapes below the wreath, they stand on a marbleized box
This unfinished mural by FC Bartlett may be an homage to Napoleon Bonaparte. Wreaths with the capital letter N appear in tributes to the French leader. Frederic also painted a portrait of Napoleon, 2025.FB.002, after the one painted by Jaques-Louis David which once hung in their Hunting Lodge in Essex, Massachusetts. This elaborate building was designed by Frederic for Evelyn's lavish parties.
