Oil painting on canvas depicts three carousel horses facing object left. Background is green leaves with blue, orange highlights. Varnished. On wooden stretcher. In gilt and red wooden and plaster frame with scroll and fleur-de-lis decoration, rabbet (original frame).

This painting of was one of the paintings stolen from the Bartletts' Beverly, MA, studio around 1985. It was recovered by Mrs. Bartlett's personal representative at Northern Trust Bank, Ray George. A similar one was painted by Frederic's son, Clay. Frederic Clay Bartlett's grand daughter Elizabeth "Libby" Bartlett Sturges had similar painting.Artwork Details
