Oil painting on canvas depicts a middle-eastern scene of a rocky shore form a water of cliffs, with winding steps from the building at the pinnacle to the water. Women with robes and veils getting water and taking up steps. On top of cliff at object right is a white building with gold dome (Islamic). Pinks predominate; impasto. Varnished.
