Description of excavations article written by Dorothy Cross, 1940s. Dorthea Cross Jensen (1906-1972) was an anthropologist, archaeologist and public educator. Her research transformed New Jersey prehistory with regard to the Indians of the Delaware Valley. In 1936 she was appointed supervisor of the Indian Site Survey of New Jersey, a W.P.A. project.
