Shields bought the nearby Hungercure restaurant [0002:0733-0735] in January 1932 [Las Vegas Age, January 9, 1932, 1:1]. The Shields brothers had owned a store some years before that was in Hesse's Camp on the Colorado River near the mouth of Las Vegas Wash. [see 0007:0333 for original]
