Davis Dam - “Mrs. Arthur Powell Davis [Marie McNaughton Davis, his second wife], widow of the famous Reclamation engineer and one-time director [of the Bureau of Reclamation], and Regional Director E. G. Nielsen, are shown here in front of the Arthur Powell Davis and Department of the Interior plaques at Davis Dam. These bronze memorials, just installed, were revealed to the public for the first time last Wednesday, December 10, at the dedication of Davis Dam. Mrs. Davis, whose husband planned the present development of the lower Colorado River, was honored during the dedicatory ceremony by Reclamation Commisioner Michael W. Straus."
