Firstlight Pictures is a New Jersey film company that produced a documentary on the construction of the Hoover Dam and Boulder City. Working with historian Dennis McBride, Firstlight began production in late 1996 and completed the film in the fall of 1997. "Hoover Dam" was first broadcast on PBS's American Experience series on January 18, 1998. This collection contains McBride's correspondence with Firstlight, the company's treatment, and the first, second, and third drafts of the script with McBride's notes and recommendations. The collection also includes videotapes of the documentary's first, second, third, and final cuts. * * *Collection
