Officials of the Arizona Power Authority and the Bureau of Reclamation are dwarfed by this huge rotor in the power plant at Hoover Dam here being moved by two 300-ton capacity cranes - a lift of 600 tons, equivalent to the weight of three railroad locomotives. The rotor, which is for generator A-4, was lifted from the assembly pit at one end of th Arizona wing the power plant and carried to the generator approximately half way down the wing. Generator A-4 is one of two units currently being installed in the Hoover power plant for the benefit off the state of Arizona. A third unit is also being installed for the State of Nevada."
