Robert [1900-1979] and Helen Lewis [1901-1985] came to Boulder City from Ruth, Nevada, in 1932. Lewis was a charter member of Boulder City's Knights of Pythias and the Lions Club. The house at 640 Avenue C, where they settled, is the last Six Companies house in Boulder City, nearly unchanged from its original construction.
Philanthropist Virginia "Teddy" Fenton purchased the house in 1985-86 following Mrs. Lewis's death and maintained it as the "Museum House," which was eventually donated to the Boulder City Museum and Historical Association by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lynel Fenton.
