Story of Hoover Dam/Boulder Dam
(Compress Air Magazine Vol.1-5)
These booklets, the first of a series on the Hoover Dam, tells the early history of the Colorado River and the developments leading up to the selection of the dam site. It also gives some general facts regarding the undertaking and the men who are directing it. These magazines, part of a larger five-volume series, documented the dam's construction, including the challenges faced by the workers and the innovative engineering solutions employed. The name change from Boulder to Hoover Dam occurred during construction, reflecting a political shift and becoming a point of contention.
