Bureau of Mines Collection - C-103B-BC Motor Generator Set for Supplying DC Power: This 700-horsepower generator set is capable of supplying up to 10,000 amperes with controlled voltage from 6 to 45 volts. It was designed expressly for experimental electrolytic work and is unusually versatile. The generator was used to supply power for pilot-plant production of electrolytic manganese over a four-year period. It is in stand-by condition for future problems. Smaller generators and rectifiers supply adequate power for present projects.
