0022:0201: US Bureau of Mines Collection - C-227K-BC Interior of the Electrolytic Manganese Cell Room: Eight cells were installed with a total production capacity of one ton per day. The cathodes on which the manganese metal was deposited are to be seen projecting out of the top of the cells. One cell, in back of the man in the center, has the cathodes removed and the anodes can be seen hanging in the cell. This plant is no longer in operation, but the facilities remain.
