Minutes of Bristol Library Trustees of December 28, 1911, that letter had been received by the Board from Andrew Carnegie stating that he would give $6,000.00 for a new library. His thoughts were that a town of the size of Bristol did not need the $8,500.00 of the plans he had been sent.
