Train route guide titled "Along the Union Pacific Railroad," published by Poole Brothers, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois on July 1, 1955 for the Union Pacific Railroad. The guide is 4" x 9" when folded, paper. The front and back of the guide when folded both have the title printed, along with the red, white, and blue Union Pacific logo. A map of the Union Pacific lines going from Chicago to San Francisco starts on the front and continues onto the back, as well as an illustration of a yellow train moving through mountain scenery.
The Union Pacific Railroad had the guide published so that passengers could read about their different destinations and passing points as they were traveling. The guide includes several descriptions of different places and landmarks along Union pacific routes, as well as different pictures and maps to accompany them.Collection
