Scope and Content

A brochure for the Union Pacific Railroad advertising family train trips, published by Colonial Press, October 1965. The brochure is paper, 4" x 9" when folded. The front of the brochure is green with the captions "Family Fares Every Day save you travel $ $" and "How a family fares with Family Rail Fares." The Union Pacific Railroad shield logo is between the two captions, with "Union Pacific Railroad" stated at the bottom. An illustration of a family (father in suit and hat with briefcase, mother, teen daughter, teen boy with "W" shirt, and a young boy with striped shirt and hat) is featured on the left edge, walking toward a Union Pacific train. Pen scribble marks are on the front. The reverse side contains route information, the Union Pacific logo, and a map of the United States with routes, with division and addition math problems written in pen. The inside of the brochure has information on family trips and fare packages, with accompanying pictures of trains and train passengers on trips.
