Description

A 1960s oval-shaped, transferware turkey platter with hand-painted colored accents, made in Japan. Features a turkey in the center of the plate, standing on farmland, with a farmhouse, fences, and trees in the background. Border of the plate features decorative leaves, pears, and other fruit. Purchased by Kathy Hobaugh and her siblings (Randy, Rick, and Kelly) from the Broomfield Heights Ben Franklin variety store as a birthday gift for their mother, Iris June Chestnut. Used by Iris June Chestnut for over 50 years as a platter for Thanksgiving dinner.
