Card booklet titled "America," with Samuel Francis Smith's "America" song lyrics (also called "My Country, 'Tis of Thee") printed inside, circa 1893. The booklet is 6" x 7.5," paper with card cover, originally bound by string. The text "America" is printed on the front in gold lettering, with the text "Compliments of The Geo. H. Knollenberg Co. Dry Goods, Cloaks and Carpets, Richmond, Virginia" printed in the lower left corner. The second page has a photomechanical printed picture of Samuel Francis Smith, with printed text "Yours Sincerely, S.F. Smith 1893." All of the booklet's printed text looks like it is handwritten in ink, with lyrics to "My Country Tis of Thee." The booklet was most likely used as a promotional booklet for the George H. Knollenberg Company in the 1890s. An inscription in ink on the inside cover says "To Maudie Reid."Collection
