Scope and Content
A posted legal notice to employees from the US Department of Labor about the Fair Labor Standards Act, 11" x 17", 1969. The notice informed employees of provisions concerning their minimum wage and overtime pay. The minimum wage was listed at $1.60 an hour as of February 1, 1969.
A black stamp in the middle of the notice states, "Overtime Provisions Not Applicable to Railroad Employes [sic] (29U.S.C.A.,Sec.213(b)(2))." Another stamp notes that the notice was posted in Broomfield, Colorado on September 8, 1969 at 8:30 am. The reverse side states, "You are required by law to display this official poster where your employees can readily see it. Public Law 90-202 Prohibits Age Discrimination in Employment." This notice was posted in the Broomfield Train Depot for railroad employees.

Custodial History: Originally used and posted in the Broomfield depot's station agent office and/or baggage area while the depot was still in use by Colorado and Southern Railway Company. All posters in the depot were later removed and put in the Broomfield Historical Society's collections after the depot was relocated from 1975 to 1976.
