Name/Title

Missouri Pacific Railroad Calendar

Entry/Object ID

1975.5.1m

Scope and Content

A large 24" x 31" calendar on poster board for the year 1973. The calendar was distributed by Mo-pac Total Transportation System (Missouri Pacific Railroad). All 12 months are displayed in blue on the poster, with a large blue banner showing the year, the Mo-pac name, and a red screaming eagle logo. Holidays are designated with red numbered days, instead of blue. Three black splotches of ink are visible on the left side of the calendar, covering parts of April, July, and October. The calendar might have been used in the Broomfield Train Depot by the station agent; an inscription in pencil on the back reads, "This was hanging in agent's office when depot moved."

Provenance

Notes

Custodial History: Originally used and posted in the Broomfield depot's station agent office and/or baggage area while the depot was still in use by Colorado and Southern Railway Company. All posters in the depot were later removed and put in the Broomfield Historical Society's collections after the depot was relocated from 1975 to 1976.
