Photocopy of Brownie in Front of the Broomfield Train DepotEntry/Object ID
1979.11.4Scope and Content
An 8" x 10" black and white photocopy mounted on cardboard depicting Brownie, the dog of Broomfield Depot station agent Richard Vaughan, circa 1920. The photocopy was made from a photograph of another photograph, apparently originally in a photo album, probably taken in the 1970s. The image shows Brownie sitting upright in a wooden chair on the platform of the depot, in front of a window, with Richard Vaughan barely visible on the left edge of the image. A sign on the wall stating "Denver & Interurban R.R. Agent Office", with some of the text obscured, is also visible. The image was originally a photograph of another photograph, probably taken sometime in the 1970s.
The reverse side on the cardboard backing has an inscription written in ink, stating "'Brownie' in front of depot. Probably 1920."Collection
