This is possibly the 1966 Broomfield days parade
1966
- There are four soldiers marching in a row, tow are holding flags. One is the U.S.
Flag and the other we cannot see well but we believe is a military flag.
- There is an antique automobile. There is a woman and a man sitting in the back
waving at the people. Both are wearing black but on the side is a white sign that is
unreadable.
- There is a light blue convertible with a man and a woman. The man is wearing a
black tux with a top hat (this is possibly Mr. Broomfield as known as Ken Hoyle).
and a woman is wearing what appears to be a red suit skirt.
- Broomfield High school cheer team march in the sign followed by the dance team,
baton dancers, flag dancers, and the marching band.
- There is two kids pulling wagons with metal barrels on them. Two kids with
shovels and an Australian Shepard dog.
- There is a white float with an American flag at the front . On the float are the Boy
scouts. The sign on the side is cut off on the screen so it is unreadable but the
sign on the back says: "Pack 386".
- A group of horses come in the parade.
- Three horses lead the group. One rider is carrying the American Flag, the
second one carries the Colorado Flag. the third is carrying a purple flag but we
cannot identify it
- The horses behind the three in the lead are horses going side to side weaving
between each other.
- A truck is pulling a decorative trailer. A cloud looking platform is over the truck with
three kids dressed as angels.
- The sign below the angels says "World Peace for Youth"
- The youth is connected by streamers going to the top. The kids sitting at the
base are dressed in traditional clothing from around the world.
- On the back is the 4H logo.
- There is a gold convertible with a lady in a Champagne color dress wearing a red
sash. Unfortunately the sign on the car is unreadable.
- A drivable buggy comes down the street with 2 men sitting in it.
- A Marching Band wearing Black, white, and red uniforms come down the road but
unfortunately you cannot see more because it faded out due to age to the original
film
- A group of men ride in on what appears to be a small miniature bicycles.
- The bikes are red and the mean are wearing yellow jumpsuits with red
Shriner hats.
- One is carrying an American Flag and the other is carrying the Colorado Flag.
- They are riding in circles.
- A white truck full of kids is pulling a float covered in flowers
- The flowers make a scene of a fireman and a little girl spraying a white house
- There is a sign that reads "Broomfield FIRETTES"
- There is a marching band wearing blue and white.
- There is a gray horse with black tassels rearing up. The person on the hourse is
wearing a white dress, a blue cloak and what appears to be a white veil.
- There is a man and a woman dancing

- There is a black truck pulling a trailer with a missile on it. The sign says "U.S. ARMY
RECUITING".
- Women riding horses weave between each other. They are carrying different color
flags.
- People wearing Red skirts, whites shirts, red hats, and whites shoes march
- Young women walk. They are wearing white shoes, navy blue skirts, and white
shirts walk as they seem to be cheering with white and red pom-poms.
- Little boys run along side of an old firetruck. Two older boys are riding a tandem
bike.
- The camera looks at all the people enjoying the festivities.
- We see two Broomfield High school students. In the background is a Ferris
wheel and other rides.
- A float comes by with men dressing in uniforms for the different wars in history
(Revolutionary war- WWII). The side reads "Our Flag of Freedom".
- A red convertible comes by with a sign that says "Sweetheart motor and Trailers
Sales"
- then the video cuts to a family video of a man playing baseball with his son in the
