Scope and Content

A roster of volunteer firefighters for the West Adams County Fire Protection District's Broomfield fire station. The roster is the size of a small poster, 10" x 16" on card stock, showing a list of firemen, their street addresses, and their phone numbers. West Adams County Fire Protection District provided fire fighting services to Broomfield Heights. The date of the roster is probably from the late 1950s to mid 1960s, based on address and number listings in Broomfield telephone directories around that period. Individuals with addresses outside of Broomfield are listed with approximate living locations, like "NE of Broomfield." The listed numbers are four digits, presumably preceded by "466." Some of the firemen listed were prominent residents of the Broomfield area, or came from long-standing Broomfield families; Dale and Gil Brunner and Henry Mitze are a few examples.
