An instructional booklet titled "Simplified Tango", written and compiled by Professor William Cogdell of Denver, Colorado, dated June 3, 1929. The booklet is 3.25" x 6", staple bound. Cogdell apparently gave the booklet as a gift to longtime Broomfield resident Ella Mitze, who was Cogdell's nurse at Denver General Hospital where she worked. The booklet was originally sold for $1.00 per copy. A written ink inscription from Cogdell on the inside cover reads, "To my nurse - best regards W.C" The booklet's contents include 7 pages of verbally written instructions for various types of Tango steps such as Promenade, Cortez, Chasse, El Sharon, and Kick-Up.Collection
