A New Years postcard, dated December 3, 1913. The card is 3.5" x 5.5", featuring an ornate, bordered color illutsration showing houses in a wintery landscape at the top, a horseshoe design and a strand of holly below it, and a gold candle with smoke in the lower right corner. Two messages, "A happy New Year" and "I wish you Health, Good Luck, Success and all that makes for Happiness" are presented in black and red text within the illustration. A small "C" symbol surrounded by the letters "L" to the left, "S" above, and "C" to the right can be seen in the lower left corner.
The reverse side has an ink post office stamp, along with the original postage stamp used. The postcard's series, "255 C", is printed in the lower left corner. A message of New Years greeting is handwritten in blue ink to a Mrs. Edla Green in Colorado.Collection
