A New Years postcard, dated December 30, 1913. The card is 3.5" x 5.5", white, with a raised image of a golden horseshoe shape depicted prominently on the left side of the front. Color illustrations of a boy and girl, seen from behind, are shown sitting in the shape. The text "A Happy New Year" is printed in red near the top, with the message "Good Luck to you, is my good wish for you" printed below it surrounded by various symbols and a green, four-leaf clover. Small numbering, "7006", is printed near the lower left corner.
The reverse side has an ink post office stamp, along with the original postage stamp used. A New Years message handwritten in black ink is shown from "mamma, Otis, and Katie" from Eddyville, Nebraska to a redacted recipient in Fairfield, Nebraska. A small "C" symbol is visible in the lower left corner, with the text "Bergham NY 1912" surrounding it.Collection
