Description

This is a modern picture of the Grain elevators in Broomfield. The picture depicts an old white house in the foreground. In the center of the picture is the grain elevator. Behind it are some telephone poles. The Longmont Milling Company built these elevators on the north side of West 120th Avenue. They remain today as they were during the days of ownership by the Adolph Coors Company in the 1930s. The elevators of the COlorado Milling and Elevator Company yon the south side of West 120th Avenue were built in 1916. The old garage on Vance Street is on the property where the original Broomfield School was moved in 1952. The original school building is now a private residence.
