Scope and Content

A program for the "Birth of a City and County" event. The program is 5.5" x 8.5" in booklet form. The front has an illustration of a present with a blue ribbon in the shape of the City and County of Broomfield logo, with a tag that states, "To: Broomfield, From: Broomfield." The event was held at the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library at 3 Community Park Road at 4:00 PM on November 15, 2001. The inside of the program contains a schedule for the event, which included opening remarks by Broomfield Mayor Karen Staurt, words from Colorado Governor Bill Owens, performances, and recognition of Broomfield citizens. The event marked the creation of Broomfield as both a City and a County of the State of Colorado.
