Scope and Content

Four Broomfield Garden Club yearbooks collected by Miles Crawford, 1959-1968. The yearbooks are between 4" x 5.5" and 4.25" x 7" in size, and list all members of the club in designated years. Lists of members include concurrent members, charter members, committees, and officers, along with event programs and usual meeting times. The lyrics of the Garden Club State Song, "There Will Always Be Garden," is also printed in each booklet. The club was a member of both the National Council of Federated Garden Clubs and Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs. Handwritten inscription on the 1967-1968 booklet, "E. Crawford", suggests that Miles' wife was involved with the club.

Provenance

Notes

Custodial History: These booklets were originally owned by Robert Crawford, and later donated to the Broomfield Depot Museum in 2013 with several photographs and documents. Much of the material pertains to Robert's father, Miles Crawford, who was Broomfield's postmaster from 1944 to 1966, as well as to the general history of Broomfield from the late nineteenth century onward.
