Scope and Content

A White House calling card signed by First Lady Mamie Doud Eisenhower with accompanying letter, dated November 30, 1959. The card is 2.5" x 4", the letter 8" x 10.5." Both the card and the letter have "The White House/ Washington" printed on them in blue ink, as well as on their envelopes. The letter is addressed to a Mary Ann Bolko of Williamansett, Massachusetts, and was written by Mamie's secretary, Mary Jane McCaffree thanking her for sending a letter asking for an autograph.
