Scope and Content

This collection holds papers and records primarily collected by past station managers of the LaFeyette Train Depot. Records span from 1952 to 1965. Records were eventually accumulated at the Broomfield Train Depot. The collection is composed of the following series: Louisville – Records (1 linear foot): This subseries contains paper records relating to the Lafayette Depot. Materials include administrative, financial and other documents. Louisville – Bound Materials (1 linear foot): This subseries contains correspondence, reports, tariffs and other records that were found bound professionally or with string. In order to preserve the records as object, the decision was made to keep original bindings intact.

Notes

Custodial History: Collection was donated to the Broomfield Depot Museum (then the Broomfield Historical Society) by railroad collector Rick Steele in 1976. Steele collected all records from the depot after it was relocated to Lac Amora Park that year.
