Money Order Cash Book of the Broomfield Post Office, January 1898-June 1902. The book is 8" x 12.75", with thick board cover and leather-covered adhesive and string binding. Contents of the book include several records of money orders and payments made, as well as some certificates of deposit. Records were documented by Broomfield postmasters Harry Crawford, Florence A. Graves, and Edgar J. Jones. with some certificates signed by Denver postmaster John C. Twombly. The post office was considered "4th Class" at the time of records' creation, designating the post office size.Collection

Custodial History: This postal record book and four others were originally created and used by Broomfield's post office. Bill Mason, the postmaster of Broomfield in the 1970s, gave these records to Rick Steele, a collector and former president of the Broomfield Historical Society. Steele donated the records to the Society in 1976; the Society later became the Broomfield Depot Museum.
