A valentine for military servicemen, circa 1943. The valentine is a paper, folded card with two folds, 4.75" x 5.75" when closed. The front has color illustrations of a uniformed Army soldier in a tank waving down to an onlooking uniformed sailor, with three hearts prominently displayed. One of three shiny, raised foil medals are shown in each heart, showing through from another layer of the card through three holes in the front. One medal states "Marksman," another "Valor," and the last "Fidelity." The inside shows the two servicemen walking in step with their hats tipped toward a woman in a blue dress, high heels, and brimmed hat with a red feather.
Text on the front reads, "A Valentine to my Buddy/ The military life is full/ Of opportunities and chances." The inside reads, "and GOSH! I'd like to be around/ When you start making your advances!"Collection
