A calendar for Broomfield business Joe Jonas Jr. Taxidermy Studio, 1973. The calendar is 9.25" x 16" with wire spiral binding at the top. Each of its six pages shows two months, with a color illustration of wildlfe by artist James Lockhart. A bio of Lockhart is included on a small leafllet bound to the front of the calendar.
Joe Jonas Jr. Taxidermy Studio was well known in Broomfield for its iconic metal giraffe statue on the roof of the business, visible from US 36. Its physical address in 1973 was 2875 Industrial Lane. By the 1980s, the biusiness had moved to an old site of Broomfield Methodist Church, 11923 Allison Street. The business moved out of Broomfield to Louisville in 2001.Collection

Its physical address in 1973 was 2875 Industrial Lane, though over the course of its operation it also had a location at an old site of Broomfield Methodist Church, 11923 Allison Street. The business moved out of Broomfield to Louisville in 2001.
Custodial History: Donated to the Broomfield Depot Museum by Eleanor Collins in 1984. The calendar was originally distributed by the business it advertised, Joe Jonas Jr. Taxidermy Studios.
