Scope and Content

Matchbook for the Broomfield Manor Motel located at Highway 287 and Midway Blvd., circa 1950s. The matchbook measures 2" x 2" when closed, and is colored black with "Broomfield Manor Motel/ Restaurant, Lounge" in red lettering on the front. The spine of the matchbook at the top has the Motel's phone number, with the back advertising a "5 after 5" entertainment slot at the motel. The inside of the matchbook lists all of its services and features, including "reasonable rates," "banquet facilities," and a cocktail lounge.

Admin or Biographical History: The Broomfield Manor Motel was built sometime in the 1950s, and served as one of the only motels in the Broomfield area for several years. Custodial History: The matchbook was donated with several other archival materials by Sharon Campbell to the Broomfield Depot Museum in 2017. The matchbook was originally distributed by the Broomfield Manor Motel.
