Certificate for a silver medal awarded at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, informally known as the St. Louis World's Fair, in 1904 to Harry Crawford for comb honey, 1904. The certificate is 16" x 19.5". The front has an illustrated image of a woman with robes and a crown lounging on the left holding a globe. A woman robed in an American flag is seen in the center with a wreath in her hair, one hand on the globe to the left and one holding a torch on the right. A nude man is on the right, passing the torch to the center woman. the certificate is bordered with wreath seals containing the names of states, with the year 1803 and 1904 on the left and right edge, respectively.
The text on the certificate reads:
"United States of America/ Universal Exposition Saint Louis MDCCCCIV/ Commemorating the Acquisition of the Louisiana Territory/ The International Jury of Awards Has Conferred a Silver Medal Upon Harry Crawford/ Comb Honey."

Custodial History: Certificate donated to the Broomfield Depot Museum with other material by Miles Crawford in 1983. The certificate was originally awarded to Miles' father, Harry Crawford, at the World's Fair in 1904. The certificate was in the care of the Crawford family until its donation.
