Description

This is a round metal button from a uniform of a Rock Island Lines employee. The button has a star in the middle and the text, "Rock Island Lines" around the edge. The back of the button has a round loop where it could be attached to a jacket and the text, "Fechheimer Bros. Co. Ohio". Fechheimer Bros. made uniforms for the Navy and railway employees starting in 1842. The button measures 0.5" (dia).
