This a digital print on canvas called "Blue Horizon" by Chloé Duplessis in 2022 for Broomfield's art exhibition, "Capacity Through Creativity". The piece has 4 different size hand prints in the foreground in black, red, brown and yellow. In the middle ground is a giant bronze and yellow circle, under it has 2 black zig zag lines. The background a texture scales of bright blues. This came with a plaque about the program.
The art exhibit "Capacity Through Art" was for Broomfield Employees to process and express their frustration during the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020-2021. This program was also a safe environment to address equality, inclusion and accessibility challenges. Broomfield partnered with Chloé Duplessis to offer to the program.
Chloé Duplessis is a legally blind artist and advocist from Denver Metro. She creates and addresses work that centers around equality, accessibility and healing. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Studies from The University of New Orleans and then studied art and history at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She has traveled to 24 states and 9 countries in support of her work.
