Description

Item is a black-and-white photograph of the original Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library in Broomfield. This 3,226 square foot building was located at 12 Garden Center and first moved into on March 15, 1963. President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Mamie Doud were honored guests for its dedication on July 7. This photograph shows the building in use: people can be seen near the doors and sitting on benches. A new library building was constructed in 1995, followed by an even more updated one in 2001. 12 Garden Center now houses the Broomfield Veterans Museum. The photo is laminated and has a white border.
