Ensor Changes the Broomfield Heights Population Count, April 7, 1959 The earliest Turnpike Land Company marketing anticipated a city of over 30,000 by 1960, making Broomfield one of the largest cities in all of Colorado. Broomfield’s population wouldn’t actually reach 30,000 until the 1990s, but their planning paved the way for the city’s continued growth through the decades. K.C.
