Description

This is an Adlake-brand kerosene signal lamp with 2 red lenses and 2 blue lenses. The blue lenses would appear green when a yellow kerosene flame shone through. The text on the top of the round cap reads, "THE/ NON SWEATING/ ADLAKE/ LAMP/ CHICAGO." There is a clasp on one side of the lamp and a hinge on the other. This would have been used to open the top in order to refill the lamp. Inside is a clear glass tube containing a wick with a wool center. The wick is broken off at the bottom of the clear glass tube. There is a metal handle on the top of the lamp. There is a number on the base of the lamp that reads, "1264." The signal lamp measures 15.5" (h) x 8" (w) x 8.5" (d).
