This is a filing system made from wood and designed to look like a book from the side. There is no cover on the top of the box. There are tabs with letters on them attached at the right side of the pages, and many of the letters are tearing off. The torn letters are in a plastic bag. The text on the spine reads, "THE/ W. H. K./ FILE/ LETTERS/ FROM/ TO/ THE W. H. Kistler Stationery CO.,/ THE COLORADO HOUSE,/ DENVER/ Patented October 6, 1903/ 59." The paper at the top of the system has text printed on it that reads, "THE/ W. H. K./ FILE/ THE W. H. Kistler Stationery CO.,/ THE COLORADO HOUSE,/ 1537-1548 Lawrence Street,/ DENVER, COLO." Written in pencil on the cover sheet is also the text, "Baggage" and other notes that cannot be read. The filing system is from the Broomfield Depot. The book filing system measures 3" (h) x 11.5" (w) x 12" (l).Collection
