Description

This is zinc canning jar lid. It is a round lid with threading for a screw top jar. From the top the lid slightly concaves in. Slight etching on top but it is not legible. The lid measures 2" (h) x 8" (w) x 7.5" (l).

From Registration Sheet: Mr. Wilson owns the site and gave permission for the excavating. These items came from the dirt pile that resulted when the well and cistern were dug up at the Jones Hall site. Jones Hall was built in 1906 by Edgar J. Jones. It burned down in 1972.
