Description

This is a scan of a photograph showing the original foundation of the Broomfield Depot after it had been lifted on to a flatbed truck. The depot corner is shown in top right corner of image, clearly raised above the ground. A man's legs are visible below the depot on the right side of the image, he is standing next to the foundation structure at the center of the photograph. White outbuildings are seen in the background. When asked to explain this image donor Karen McGuire described; "Just moved off foundation. Long building in background is on Hwy 287 was Mary's Cafe (now Great Scott's Eatery, 7510 Hwy 287)."

01/22/2015 Karen McGuire's family took these photographs during the depot's move to its second location at Lac Amora Park (2201 W. 10th Avenue). She allowed the Broomfield Depot Museum to scan the original photographs. The prints remain in her possession.
