Description

This is a fragment of a saucer. The fragment is of the rim of the plate, that has a curved edge that indicates it would have had a scalloped edge. The glaze on the plate is white with different shades of blue to create designs. The saucer has crazing happening to the glaze. It appears as though there was some design features drawn into the saucer before it was glazed with its raised topography. On the white glazed back of the fragment there is part of a design which appears to be a crest of some kind and the text "_YN / _CELAIN / _BROS II / _GLAND" stamped on it in blue. The fragment measures 1.5" (w) x 2.25" (l).
